Dick took the coach into Wagers to get the AC and steps fixed before we could leave while Barb ran around tying up loose ends and giving the grandkids some last minute hugs.
By 12:30 we were “on the road again”. We were going to meet Chris in Las Vegas to help move the furniture out so they could rent it out. Chris and Jake spent the night in Reno. The Wal-Mart in Fernley looked like a good stopping off point for us.

When filling up the coach in the morning, our credit card was declined. Guess they didn’t like the fact we were heading for Las Vegas! Once we get that taken care of we were “on the road again”. Soon Chris calls and she is only a half hour behind us, so we take a break together when we reach Hawthorne. She takes off before us and about an hour down the road I discover her purse on our table. We give her a call and she decided it could ride with us to Vegas! Just out of Goldfield we get pulled over by a couple of nice policemen. They had noticed our tire on the car had blown and it was down to the rim. After we got it changed we are “on the road again”.
We could see lots of dust off in the desert. We soon realized it was an off road race. They were racing from Las Vegas to Reno. We made it on into Pahrump without any more incidents. We parked the coach and went on in to Vegas to reunite Chris with her purse. Once the U haul was all packed we were very happy to leave the 100 degree heat and head back to our coach to enjoy our AC! Dick would have to deal with our tire problem in the morning.
Good luck on your adventures. You could come down to Kentucky and hang out with us for a while!!!
