Over the Mountains to Chris and Rob's

This weekend we spend some time with our daughter Chris, her husband Rob, and their greyhound Princess. We arrived in Redmond shortly before noon and had lunch at the Mustard Seed Cafe. It had changed hands again since we got back from Michigan, but the quality we expected was still there.

We arrived at Chris's about 2 PM and had some time to visit with Rob before Chris got home from work at 6 PM. Our daughter Karen along with Christopher and Jessica arrived from Corvallis about 6:30 along with the pizza. She was headed for Sunriver on Saturday afternoon to join up with some of James's family for a weekend of winter activities on Mt Bachelor.

Saturday morning Barb, with the help of Jessica, made french toast for breakfast, and then most everyone spent the next couple of hours karaokeing. I spent quite a bit of time copying pictures from DVDs and transferring them to an external hard drive, and then finding and eliminating all the duplicates. The final results will be stored on hard drives rather than on DVDs. I processed some 35000 images and eliminated about 12000. This brought about 80gb of DVDs down to about 60gb of hard disk space.

We head back over the mountain to Albany later today, and Chris and Rob are heading to Las Vegas for some golfing and relaxing for a few days.
