Days Nineteen thru Twenty Five of Arizona Trip

The days started running together towards the end of last week as we were working hard to get the house finished before Chris had to returned to Oregon.

On Friday evening, we met with my niece, Bonna, and her mother, Doris, for dinner.  My brother Jerry, a twin to Jim, was killed in a bicycle accident when Bonna was just 6 months old.  We had a great time catching up.

We had a couple of really worm days over the weekend and finally the saguaro cactus are starting to bloom.  We won't be here when they are in full bloom, but at least we got a sneak preview.

We also stopped out at the Cincinnati Reds/Cleveland Indians spring training stadium for a few pictures.

I also made a quick trip out to the Phoenix International  Raceway, where the NASCAR race was held the first weekend we were here.  You really can't capture the enormity of the complex in a picture.  There was well over a mile of parking area and porta potties set up to accommodate the attendees.

Chris and Rob finally got some needed rest on Sunday to go golfing, if you consider that rest.  Monday morning we took Chris to the airport to fly back to Redmond while Rob is going to stay at the house till the end of May.  They start construction on the pool tomorrow and he wants to be there for that. Chris will fly back over Memorial day when every thing should be completed and the house should be ready to rent.  You can check out the listing at this site.

Tuesday morning we got all our things ready and headed to Pahrump, Nevada where we will spend a few days before heading back to Oregon via Burns and Eagle Crest.  Should be home before the end of the month.
