We left Chris and Rob's as soon as it was light enough to see. By the time we get into Bend the roads are getting worse. We finally pull over in LaPine to wait it out, as the sign says that traction tires are advised and think this is probably our best option. We pick up a couple of Senior Coffees at the local Chevron/McDonnald's stop. An hour and a half later, it looks like the truckers have broken it up pretty good, so we hit the road again. Finally at Weed, CA we make it to I-5 and have clear sailing for the rest of the day.
We stop for the night just South of Sacramento, and spend the night at a Flying-J truck stop. Of course, the reason for this location, is so that we can meet up with some RV friends, Royal and Mary, who are parked just across the street in a nice camp ground.
